Lily Garget, (b. 1998) is a mixed media artist. After gaining a first class BA Hons degree in Sculpture and Environmental Art at Glasgow School of Art, 2022, she was awarded a New Contemporaries award from the Royal Scottish Academy. Since graduating, Lily has attended residencies in Italy with Nature, Art and Habitat, and the Inner and Outer Hebrides with Sail Britain.
Lily’s work centres around textiles and metalwork, making work with communities and for gallery display. Taking inspiration from her surroundings in Angus, the work is a translation of landscape using processes led by natural materials. She creates spaces where ephemeral atmospheres are translated into physical artworks.
